The Aero Telemetry Team completed a 22 foot wingspan flyable C-130 model used for a film project.
C-130 HISTORY
The C-130 is a 4 engine turboprop transport aircraft built by Lockheed. It was originally designed as a troop, medevac and cargo transport aircraft. Entering service with the U.S. in 1956 the C-130 is the longest continuously produced military aircraft at over 60 years.
C-130 DESIGN AND BUILD
The Aero Telemetry Team completed a 22 foot wingspan flyable C-130 model initially intended for a film project, it was converted to a functional heavy lift cargo Unmanned Air Vehicle capable of rough terrain landings and take-offs. It has a lift capacity of over 500lbs and a range of 400 miles.
